Before & After: Zahabiyah Ghadiali Had Never Coded. Few Months Later She Became a Problem Solver

Zahabiyah Ghadiali started her Bachelors with zero programming background. Here is how she went from not knowing what a variable is to confidently solving problems in just a few months.

Zahabiyah Ghadiali started her Bachelors with zero programming background. Here is how she went from not knowing what a variable is to confidently solving problems in just a few months.

Before: Commerce Background, Zero Code

Zahabiyah Ghadiali started Bachelor’s in 2022. She had chosen it because she liked technology. Her first programming lab session at college was a wall.

“Everyone around me was typing. I did not even know how to open the terminal,” she said.

She found VD Computer Tuition through a friend and joined the Python track. Her starting point: no prior programming experience, no idea what a variable was.

A Few Months, Built in Layers

Month one involved pure fundamentals. Variables, conditions, loops. Every concept was practiced on a real machine before moving on. The rule: you cannot write the next program until the current one runs without errors.

It sounds slow; however, it builds confidence and understanding quickly.

Month two focused on functions, lists, dictionaries, and file handling. Zahabiyah began to tackle small problems on her own — creating a simple contact book and a grade calculator. She shifted her approach, attempting solutions before seeking help. This change in behavior marked a significant milestone.

It was not just practicing; she was actively solving real problems, which deepened her understanding.

After: Confident Solver, Top of Her Bachelor’s Class

Zahabiyah Ghadiali used her newfound skills to solve practical challenges during her coursework. Her professors asked her to present her solutions to the class.

“Six months ago I could not open a terminal. Now I am explaining to my classmates how dictionaries works,” she said.

She was top scorer in her class.

More importantly, she stopped feeling like she did not belong in the course.
